  1. NETWORK ACCESS v1.9 - A Hermes User Extension

  4. NETWORK ACCESS is (C) 1991-92 Currents! Technologies!, but is Public Domain.

  6. NETWORK ACCESS is useful *only* to those systems using handles/aliases and
  7. running Tabby or another network application.
  8.  
  9. NETWORK ACCESS works in conjunction with Handler, by Craig Struble, or
  10. another utility which handles aliases for networking purposes.
  11.  
  12. NETWORK ACCESS asks the caller to provide their real first and last names
  13. in order to gain access to networked message areas.  If the user chooses
  14. not to provide these, nothing happens.  If the user does provide them, they
  15. are automatically entered into the Handler "Aliases" file and a restriction
  16. flag is changed.

  18. NETWORK ACCESS automatically capitalizes the caller's entry to ensure
  19. quality across the network.

  23. To Use NETWORK ACCESS
  24. ---------------------

  26. Drop NETWORK ACCESS and the folder NetAccess Files into your Externals folder
  27. and restart Hermes.

  29. Log on as Sysop.

  31. Select NETWORK ACCESS from the External List.
  32.  
  33. Enter the full pathname to the Handler Aliases file.
  34.  
  35. Enter the restriction character you use for networked message areas.
  36.  
  37.      NOTE:  Character should be capitalized.
  38.  
  39.      ANOTHER NOTE:  If you choose not to restrict the networked
  40.                     message areas, press RETURN.

  42. Quit; that's all there is to setting up NETWORK ACCESS.
